"It is a blight upon the Life of mankind that so little control of the emotions is taught humanity from the cradle to the grave. Attention to this particular point is the greatest need in the Western world today. It is easy to give way to discordant thoughts, feelings, and activities to be sure because the mass of mankind are submerged as it were—by environment and association entirely created by themselves.

"The individual through his control of the outer consciousness must make the effort to rise out of this condition by his own free will in order to transcend these limitations permanently and no one can hope to rid his life and world of misery, discord, and destruction until he leashes his own thought and feeling. In this way he refuses to let the Life flowing through his mind and body become qualified by the discord resulting from every little disturbing occurrence in the world about him.
"At first such discipline does require determined, continuous effort for the thoughts and feelings of ninety five per cent of humanity run as uncontrolled and free as a little tramp dog. However no matter how much effort it takes to bring these two activities under control it is worth any amount of time and energy expended and no Real Permanent Dominion of one's Life and world can take place without it. It will be my pleasure and privilege to teach you the use of these Higher Laws, and their application will enable you to release True Wisdom and bring about All Perfection.
"The first step to the control of yourself is the stilling of all outer activity of both mind and body. Fifteen to thirty minutes at night before retiring and in the morning before beginning the day's work using the following exercise will do wonders for anyone who will make the necessary effort.
"For the second step: make certain of being undisturbed, and after becoming very still picture and feel your body enveloped in a Dazzling White Light. The first five minutes while holding this picture recognize and feel intensely the connection between the outer self and Your Mighty God Within — focusing your attention upon the Heart Center — and visualizing it — as a Golden Sun.
Then ask the Violet Flame to blaze through you, transmuting all that no
longer serves you, asking it to erase all core causes and memories of
pain and suffering, lack, limitation and separation.


See this dense energy, experiences and thought forms as a cloud above
your head.


Just let it stay there for a moment while you perform the next step.


Next, create vividly in your mind, who, how, what you wish to be,
live, and do from this point on.


Envision what you want. Create a crystal clear picture with as much
detail as you can.


Focus on the new you, your new life.


Feel it as real, not a wish or dream, but that it is already your
reality.


Hold this reality and feel all the joy and bliss for as long as you
can.


Look up at that cloud over your head.


Know that it does not belong to you any more.


Ask the Violet Flame to dissolve it, then turn it into Golden Light,
the Light of the Christ Consciousness.


Ask this Golden Sphere to enter into your bodies, physical,
emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.


You will be encased in the Golden Light, and BE the Golden Light.
"The next step is the acknowledgment: 'I now joyously accept the Fulness of the Mighty God Presence — the Pure Christ.' Feel the Great Brilliancy of the 'Light' and intensify It in every cell of your body for at least ten minutes longer. Then close the meditation by the command:
I AM a Child of the Light
I Love the Light
I Serve the Light
I Live in the Light
I AM Protected, Illumined, Supplied, Sustained by the Light
And I Bless the Light.
"Remember always — 'One becomes that upon which he meditates' — and since all things have come forth from the 'Light' — 'Light' is the Supreme Perfection and Control of all things.
"Contemplation and adoration of the 'Light' compels Illumination to take place in the mind — health, strength, and order to come into the body — and peace, harmony, and success to manifest in the affairs of every individual who will really do it, and seeks to maintain it.
"All the way down the centuries — in every age, under every condition — we are told by all who have expressed the greater accomplishments of Life that the Light is Supreme, the Light is everywhere, and in the Light exist all things. That Truth is just as true today as it was a million years ago." This exercise will help you to create the New You!

Energy Sensitivity



More people are experiencing energy sensitivity as the presence of spiritual light strengthens on the Earth. As your body becomes more open to light, you are more affected by what is happening around you.

Our physical world is composed of energy, and as greater light opens in our bodies, we become more capable of seeing, feeling and sensing what is happening at other levels of reality.

Much of how you will experience energies is through your body, and through the experiences you have. Everyone has their own unique experiences, and so my examples may not be what you will feel, but are only for illustration purposes.
How we Experience Energy Sensitivity

You may begin to experience energies when you are communicating with people or near them physically. You may also sense the energy of a person through a telephone conversation, an e-mail exchange, or simply thinking about them. You may experiencs thoughts, feelings, images, or you may hear their voice or sense their presence.

For example, you may get out of bed feeling great with a lot of anticipation for the day. Then, on the way to work you sit next to someone on the bus and you find yourself feeling tired, or uncomfortable, or even a bit sick. The feeling clears a few minutes after the person gets off at their bus stop.

Another example, you are feeling content and at peace, and you receive an e-mail from a family member who is upset. You start to feel an agitation in your energy field, and thoughts and feelings pass through your mind that you don't generally have. The feeling clears a few minutes after you finish responding to the e-mail.

Another example, you may be feeling sad, upset or depressed, and you receive a phone call from a friend. You feel their love, and are uplifted. Your feelings of sadness lessen and you breathe a sign of relief.

You may also the energy in specific locations. Homes, places of business, and even streets, cities, towns and countries all carry a unique vibration, depending on who lives or work there, what they do and how they spend their time. The energy of a building can also be affected by the building materials used and the consciousness of those who created the space.

You may also experience energies related to words and thoughts, and so the way you express yourself begins to change as you experience the impact of your word choices and of the thoughts you entertain.
Energy Sensitivity in Daily Life

As you develop more sensitivity to energies, you may become aware of the energies carried within your clothing, bedding, and in your home and car. For example, you get out of the shower feeling great, but as soon as you put on that old, favorite sweater, you start feeling heavy, sick or uncomfortable. You take off the sweater, and you feel fine again.

Clothing, fabric and metals tend to accumulate more energies than other kinds of materials, and so you may find that you need to wash your clothing, bedding and jewelry more often as you become more sensitive. You may need to replace items that have become so saturated with energies that you no longer feel comfortable using them.

If your purification process has been very accelerated, your body will change vibration many times. Each time you make a level shift, you will find yourself intuitively cleaning out your closet and rearranging your living space, to accommodate the new light that has arrived. You may find that your 20 year old mattress is no longer a peaceful and comfortable resting place because it carries older energies that feel too dense for you now.

This experience can be challenging on many levels, including practically and financially. If your spiritual work includes a lot of intense, accelerated purification, it may be that you need to adapt your living or work spaces to accommodate these challenges.

For example, if you are a healer and see clients, you may find that having large pieces of upholstered furniture in the healing room becomes impractical given the amount of energies that are being released by people. Nice wooden rocking chairs, floor pillows, backjack chairs or rattan furniture might be better options.
Energy Sensitivity and the Purification Process

As our bodies receive greater light, and release old burdens and pain from the past, the darker and denser energies release from our body, our auric field and our mental and emotional bodies. Often the purification process happens over time, and energies are released in a steady stream for months or even years.

When this happens, you may find that your clothing, bedding and living environments begin to feel saturated with the older energies. Sometimes you can clear these energies, and sometimes they are so intense that it is best to simply let the items go. Here are some ways you can clear out these energies from items and living spaces.

Clearing Energies from Objects

* Washing the item and putting it in the sun for a few hours can clear out quite a bit of difficult energy.

* Soaking in salt water, then washing and putting in the sun can help the more difficult energies to clear.

* Using oxygen bleach when you are washing clothing makes a noticeable difference in the energies.

Clearing Energies from a Living Space

If your room or home feels like it has become energetically saturated, there are some ways you can clear the energies. This takes some work but will make a huge difference.

* Empty out the room of all items. If your whole house feels difficult, start with the room that you feel is the worse.

* If you have a removable rug in the room, take that out as well and air it out in the sun.

* If you don't yet have an altar in your room, now is a good time to create one. See this article on Creating an Altar and also this one on Creating a Sanctuary of Light.

* Burn a candle in the room, safely. There are 'eternal flames' and other candles created for this purpose.

* Open the windows and place a fan in the room to blow all the old air out.

* Playing music of a very high vibration will clear even very extreme energies. I have found that my teacher Julie Redstone's music has a very profound effect on even very difficult spaces. You may need to leave the music playing for several days or even a week if the room is very difficult.

* If the energy still does not clear, consider painting the room. Yes, it's a lot of work, but can make a really big difference.

* If the room is still not clear, look at the flooring in the room. Can it be replaced? Floors carry a lot of energy because purification releases energies through our feet.

Ways to Ease Energy Sensitivity

There are many ways you can adapt your daily life to ease the challenge and discomforts associated with energy sensitivity. Here are just a few.

* Open the windows - airing out your living space regularly will clear out the energies that have been released. Using a quiet but powerful fan can clear the energies faster.

* Taking a shower - if you are feeling overloaded with energies, taking a shower and changing your clothes will provide some relief.

Good times to take a shower are when you first get up (to release energies that you processed at night), and before you go to bed (to release energies you accumulated during the daytime.

Depending on your schedule and your light body's needs, you may also feel a need to take a shower after work, or after you've been in a store or crowded environment.

* Wash your hair - a healer friend who is also a hairdresser said to me once that hair is a part of our aura. I have found that washing my hair makes a huge difference when I am feeling overwhelmed with energies. Actual shampoo seems to work better than water, but you need to use a very gentle shampoo.

* Wear different clothes for different purposes - your clothing will take on the energies from wherever you are. I have found it much more practical and economical to dedicate certain clothes for certain purposes.

Have your work clothes in one area of the closet, and clothing for home in another. If you do spiritual work such as group healing work or sessions (whether giving or receiving healing) keep those clothes separate from your other activities.

This seemed like a really unusual idea to me when I first learned of it, but over time I've realized that it has saved me a great deal of money, as I can keep the clothing for longer.

* Create boundaries so you can rest - a developing light body needs time to rest, recuperate and assimilate both the new light that is arriving on the Earth, and also to process all the events, changes and learnings that are happening at such an accelerated rate.

Schedule time each day, even if it is only 10 minutes, where you can lie down and close your eyes. Try to find a place where you can be alone if possible, to allow your energy field to rest. This will help you a great deal to feel more clear and peaceful.

 Maitreya steps forward?

The way prepared by His Herald the ‘star’, Maitreya, the World Teacher, has given His first interview on American television. Millions have heard Him speak both on TV and the internet.
His open mission has begun.
He was introduced not as Maitreya, the World Teacher and Head of our Spiritual Hierarchy, but simply as a man, one of us. In this way He “ensures that men follow and support Him for the truth and sanity of His ideas rather than for His status”.
He spoke earnestly of the need for peace, achievable only through the creation of justice and the sharing of the world’s resources.
This is the first of many such interviews which will be given in the USA, Japan, Europe and elsewhere, bringing His message of hope to the world.

Oscar, the kitty an angel of death

Doctor casts new light on cat that can predict death

SYDNEY (Reuters) – When doctors and staff realized that a cat living in a U.S. nursing home could sense when someone was going to die, the feline, Oscar, was portrayed as a furry grim reaper or four-legged angel of death.
But Dr. David Dosa, who broke the news of Oscar's abilities in a paper in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2007, said he never intended to make Oscar sound creepy or his arrival at a bedside to be viewed negatively.
Dosa said he hopes his newly released book, "Making Rounds With Oscar: The Extraordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat" will put the cat in a more favorable light as well as providing a book to help people whose loved ones are terminally ill.
"After the New England Journal article you got the feeling that if Oscar is in your bed then you are dead, but you did not really see what is going on for these family members," said Dosa, an assistant professor of medicine at Brown University.
"I wanted to write a book that would go beyond Oscar's peculiarities, to tell why he is important to family members and caregivers who have been with him at the end of a life."
Dosa said Oscar's story is fascinating on many levels.
Oscar was adopted as a kitten from an animal shelter to be raised as a therapy cat at the Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Providence, Rhode Island, which cares for people with severe dementia and in the final stages of various illnesses.
SIXTH SENSE?
When Oscar was about six months old the staff noticed that he would curl up to sleep with patients who were about to die.
So far he has accurately predicted about 50 deaths.
Dosa recounts one instance when staff were convinced of the imminent death of one patient but Oscar refused to sit with that person, choosing instead to be on the bed of another patient down the hallway. Oscar proved to be right. The person he sat with died first, taking staff on the ward by surprise.
Dosa said there is no scientific evidence to explain Oscar's abilities, but he thinks the cat might be responding to a pheromone or smell that humans simply don't recognize.
Dosa said his main interest was not to delve further into Oscar's abilities but to use Oscar as a vehicle to tell about terminal illness, which is his main area of work.
"There is a lot to tell about what Oscar does, but there is a lot to tell on the human level of what family members go through at the end of life when they are dealing with a loved one in a nursing home or with advanced dementia," he said.
"Perhaps the book is a little more approachable because there is a cat in it. We really know so little about nursing homes, and this tries to get rid of this myth that they are horrid factories where people go to die."
Dosa said the story of Oscar, who is now nearly five years old, initially had sparked a bit more interest in families wanting to send their loved ones to Steere House.
Oscar has even been thanked by families in obituaries for providing some comfort in the final hours of life.
But he said Oscar remains unchanged by the attention, spending most of his days staring out of a window, although he has become a bit friendlier.
"The first time I met Oscar he bit me. We have warmed over the years. We have moved into a better place," said Dosa.
"I don't think Oscar is that unique, but he is in a unique environment. Animals are remarkable in their ability to see things we don't, be it the dog that sniffs out cancer or the fish that predicts earthquakes. Animals know when they are needed."

Seven Steps to Lucid Dreaming




Studying your dreams can teach you many things about yourself. The state of
dreaming can arguably be viewed as the ultimate form of meditation.

Dreams bring your subconscious mind to the forefront, and can convey
information about your health, relationships, and other matters. For
example, they may offer symbolic images that tell you about biological
processes going on inside your body, and what you need to do to stay
healthy.
Lucid Dreaming is consciously being aware within your dream.

When you are dreaming and you become conscious that you are dreaming
you can start to control your dreams. It can be an exhilarating
experience, and the feeling of euphoria after your first few lucid
dreams can last for days.
1. Remember your ordinary dreams.
To
start remembering your dreams try this simple technique -- each night
before drifting off to sleep, repeat the phrase ‘I will remember my
dreams as soon as I wake up’. Say this phrase over and over until you
fall asleep, after a few days you will start to remember your ordinary
dreams.
2. Keep a dream journal
Even
writing a few short sentences about your dream is enough. This will get
you into the habit of remembering your ordinary dreams and to start
looking for dream signs within your dreams.
3. Pick out dream signs
A lot of your ordinary dreams will have objects or people in them that could act as a cue to you waking up in your dreams.
4. Notice your waking world
To
be conscious in your dream world means you have to be conscious in your
waking world. Being consciously focused means looking around you and
saying what you see, feel, hear, smell and touch and voicing it. If you
start to consciously focus on the world around you, you will carry this
over into the dream world.
5. Ask yourself; ‘Am I dreaming?’

Ask yourself just now ‘Am I dreaming?’. Your obvious answer is to say
no, of course you are not dreaming. How do you know? Try and think
about why you know you are not dreaming. This again will carry over
into your dreaming world and you will start asking the same questions
in your dreams.
6. Your first lucid dream
Many
people have their first lucid dream simply by reading about it. You
might find that you become over-excited and lose the lucid dream.
However, your first lucid dream will be remembered for years to come.
7. Staying lucid
By
far the best technique is calming yourself down with self talk and
dream spinning. If you find that you are losing your lucidity, you can
talk to yourself to calm yourself down and just start noticing the
things around you in your dream. Dream spinning means when you feel you
are losing control of your dream, you mentally spin like a tornado to
stay within your dream. This focuses your mind on staying lucid.

Spirit guides have been around all of us since humans appeared on the earth. Some can sense their guide or guides and others don't nor fully understand just what a spirit guide is.

The spirit guides reside in a different dimension on the astral plain. They operate on a higher vibrational frequency and can be reached through meditation, hypnosis, ritual or any sort of energy raising actions. The guides are with us to help us through life. They are not here to serve us or us to serve them; it is a symbiotic relationship of partnership. If we ask them nicely for answers, it will usually be provided. You are after all talking to your higher self.

Many children have experienced spirit guides through imaginary friends, or what the parents refer to as imaginary friends. Most psychologists will say the imaginary friend is due to loneliness of the child or as a part of play. But psychologist also state that children with imaginary friends will sometimes give them the personality they lack or will talk to the friend about things that are stressful or upsetting to the child. Once the child grows into adulthood, the imaginary friend becomes less and less important although some do retain their friend, but learn to suppress them due to adults and peer-pressure.

Spirit guides are with us nearly all the time even if we choose to ignore them or are not in the habit of giving them a thought. They tend to approach us in a way that is familiar or comfortable to us, such as in a dream, during meditation, hypnosis and in human or animal form. Some believe the spirit guides are souls that have been here before leading lives as we do now. Because they were once human, they have their own identities and their own way of doing things.

In some religious beliefs, spirit guides are called guardian angles, but guardian angels are the same as spirit guides. We may have several spirit guides depending on the life situation and we may have a master guide, like that of an arch-angel to help us when needed who joins with us at birth and stays with us throughout life.

To contact your spirit guide, you should sit quietly with no distractions, relax, clear your mind and focus. This possibly could be done when going to bed for the night. It is not necessary to speak out loud. Spirit guides generally use telepathy to communicate because thought has its own energy. Mentally say hello. Wait for answer or a greeting, but don't expect this to happen immediately. Again as with anything worth doing, it takes time and patience. Relax. Continue with your questioning. It is easier to limit your questions to yes and no answers. When first starting to contact your guides, keep it simple.
